Vision and Mission
Mission:
Liberty Park Community Development Center strives to be welcoming, inclusive, and safe for all peoples regardless of their background, through educational and social growth opportunities in the South Perry District. We work to fulfill our mission by providing learning opportunities to people from pre-schoolers through adults facilitating navigation to participants especially through city, state, and federal systems, including local schools and non-profit agencies; providing directly or through referral resources to address immediate needs; and working to build and maintain safe and healthy environments within our communities.
Champion Goal:
To provide an inclusive, caring, safe, and creative environment for K-5 students in an after school program.
Champ Camp Goal:
To provide an inclusive, fun, caring, and safe summer program for kids in a day camp environment.
TEENS GROUP:
To provide an inclusive and safe environment for 6-12 grade students during the school year that encourages exploration, service, and a sense of community.
MOMS MORNING GROUP:
To provide weekly times when mothers in our apartment complex and surrounding area may come together with their young children to socialize, develop community with others, and learn about resources. This experimental program was started based on the expressed desire of immigrant and refugee mothers, many home-bound. Refugee and Immigrant Connections Spokane (RICS) staff and volunteers participate with Center staff and volunteers.
