To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must be:

· Accepted to attend or currently attending an accredited public or private educational institution,
trade school or technical school.

· Over the Age of 18.

Priority One - displaced persons or children of displaced persons (12 points)

· Refugees relocated to USA through UNHCR process via agency, or

· Asylees or seekers of asylum; Internally Displaced Person (IDP), or

· Immigration status not required to be verified through documentation.

Priority two - Multilingual learners regardless of status (8 points)

· Student learned or is learning English as a second language, or

· Home language while in K-12 school was other than English - student may have learned
English and a home language simultaneously, or

· English Language Development Services received at some point K-12

Priority three - First Generation higher education students (6 points)

· Neither parent/guardian attained a 4-year degree from an accredited educational institution
